Project Launching Press Conference and Ground Squirrel Watch at Sanislău

The Environmental Protection Agency of Satu Mare County and „Milvus Group” Bird and Nature Protection Association organized a project launching press conference and ground squirrel watch on the 9th of April 2015 at Sanislău, Satu Mare County. The press conference was attended by students and teachers from the local middle school and representatives of the local authorities. After the thorough presentation of the project and the target species, the students and the teachers were taken to see the ground squirrels in the vicinity of the village, while the representatives of the press continued the conference at the Headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency. The presentation regarding the project and the target species, as well as the ground squirrel watch was enjoyed by the children, and there were thrilled to find out about the important role of small mammals in the conservation of the saker falcon and eastern imperial eagle.
